Julia attended Manchester School of Art and graduated with a BA Hons in Graphic Design.

She enjoyed a lengthy career as magazine designer and art director, eventually becoming editor of Gardening Which? magazine. For many years she has travelled the UK, finding and photographing beautiful gardens.

Julia now lives in Coverack on the Lizard Peninsula with her husband Tom, where she photographs gardens and wild flowers of the Cornish countryside.
